Most couples in Tamil Nadu wait two to six months for their wedding album, with nothing in writing and no remedy if it's late. We put a deadline on the invoice — and a consequence if we miss it.
The short answer
Dream Light Studio delivers your finished wedding album within 25 days of your final photo selection. If we're late because of a delay on our side, we refund your album delivery fee or pay compensation as set out in the policy printed on your invoice.
The clock starts at your photo selection rather than your wedding date, because album design can't begin until we know which images you want. That puts the entire 25-day window under our control — which is the only reason we can put a number in writing at all.

The Problem
WHY ALBUMS GO LATE
Ask around Kallakurichi, Villupuram or Salem and you'll hear the same story: the wedding was beautiful, the photographer was lovely, and the album arrived eight months later. Sometimes longer. Usually after several unanswered messages.
This isn't dishonesty. It's structural, and there are three causes.
1. The clock never starts
Most studios quote delivery "after selection" without defining when selection is final. Without a defined start point there is no deadline — only an intention, and intentions lose to whatever is urgent that week.
2. Peak season backlog
Tamil wedding dates cluster hard. A studio shooting through Aadi and Margazhi can take twenty weddings in eight weeks, then face twenty albums at once. Albums queue behind the next shoot, every time, because the shoot has a fixed date and the album doesn't.
3. The album is outsourced
Many studios send album design to a third-party designer in another city. The studio then has no control over the timeline it promised you, and no ability to escalate when the designer is busy with someone else's wedding.
What we changed
- A defined day zero. The clock starts the moment your photo selection is confirmed — a date, not a vague milestone.
- Design stays in-house. Your album is designed by our own team in Chinna Salem, so the timeline is ours to control.
- Album capacity is booked like shoot capacity. We limit bookings per season so album weeks are protected, not borrowed.
- The promise is written down. A deadline with a consequence attached behaves completely differently from one without.

If we fail to deliver your album within 25 days of your final photo selection because of a delay on our side, we refund your album delivery fee or compensate you according to our policy. It is written into your invoice — not just promised at the enquiry.
The 25 days are counted from the client's final photo selection. The guarantee does not apply to delays caused by pending client approvals, additional edit requests, or other client-side actions.

What exactly is the 25-day guarantee?
A written commitment that your finished wedding album is delivered within 25 days of your final photo selection, printed on your invoice rather than stated verbally. If we're late because of a delay on our side, we refund your album delivery fee or pay compensation as set out in the policy.
Why count from photo selection, not the wedding date?
Because design can't begin until we know which photos you want. Counting from the wedding date would mean our clock runs while we're waiting on you — which is exactly why most studios won't give a date at all. Counting from final selection puts the whole window under our control.
What happens if you're late?
Where the delay is ours, your album delivery fee is refunded or compensation is paid per the policy on your invoice. You're told which of the seven stages your album is in throughout, so a slip is visible before the deadline rather than discovered after it.
What doesn't count towards the 25 days?
Time spent waiting on you — your final selection, your proof approval, and any edit requests made after the proof was approved. If you take a week to approve the proof, the deadline moves by a week. We're accountable for our delays, not yours.
Do other photographers here offer this?
Written delivery guarantees are rare across Tamil Nadu. The market standard is an informal two-to-six-month estimate with no written commitment and no remedy if it's missed. We're not aware of another studio in the Kallakurichi area putting a delivery deadline and a compensation clause on the invoice.
